Rational Design method
Rational methods are needed to successfully realise a design. There are many rational methods available for all stages in the design process. Cross [Cross2000] gives an overview of, per stage, relevant methods, see the below table.
For more detailed information about these methods, the application and application examples, see [Cross2000, Pahl1996]. Many useful tools for (not only) the design process can be found in the book of Brassard & Ritter [Brassaard2018] titled: ”The Memory Jogger 2, Tools for Continuous Improvement and Effective Planning”.
