Acrobat Reader 7.0 and SCIM
There is a little problem between Acrobat Reader 7.0 and SCIM (Smart Chinese Input Method). After installaltion of Acrobat Reader 7.0 from Adobe, when start acroread, a splash screen does show up, but nothing follows up. The problem is caused by SCIM - if installed.
Solution:
Edit /usr/bin/acroread, inseart the following to the third line:
export GTK_IM_MODULE=xim
